We’re getting married in the Andalusian region of Spain – a place of rich Arab-Islamic heritage, vibrant flamenco culture, and landscapes that stretch from sunny beaches to dramatic mountain ranges.

Our dream wedding is all about good food, good wine, and good company (with lots of dancing), so we’ve chosen this venue in the hope it will be a memorable weekend for you all.

Hacienda de San Rafael

The Hacienda is a former olive estate turned boutique hotel set in the beautiful countryside between Seville and Jerez and within easy reach of the Costa de la Luz. This traditional hacienda-style house has three outdoor pools, two bars, and a Mediterranean restaurant, all set in tranquil gardens.

How to get there:

Planes

The nearest airports are Jerez and Seville (San Pablo), both around 45 minutes away by road. You can take a taxi or hire a car directly at the airport.

Trains

Santa Justa station in central Seville has high-speed links to Madrid and Córdoba, plus connections to Granada and Cádiz. Trains are reliable and easy to use.

  • Seville to San Juan (near Hacienda de San Rafael): about 1 hr 39 mins

  • Seville to Jerez: about 1 hr 44 mins.

Cars

To explore the area properly, you’ll need a car. Hire one from the airport and park for free at the hotel.

If you’re driving to the Hacienda for the first time, make sure to get full directions – it’s not easy to spot from the road. It’s 200m past the “zona de servicio” sign before the Repsol petrol station at Cruce de Las Cabezas. The entrance is opposite the small Madisma building – look for two white posts and a line of olive trees leading up to the house.

Staying at Hacienda de San Rafael

We’d love for you to stay with us at the Hacienda. Some rooms are already reserved for the bridal party, but there are still spaces available here. Just contact Becky or Jack to arrange a booking.

The Hacienda is located between Seville and Jerez, so you’ll have plenty of places to choose from nearby.

We recommend staying in Seville as it offers the widest choice, but Jerez is also a beautiful city – and the birthplace of Flamenco – so it’s well worth a visit or even an overnight stay.

Airbnb and Booking.com both have lots of options, many with free cancellation. We’ll also be arranging return transport from the wedding back to Seville.
